Helpful details before you begin.

What services does Tosin Thrive Wellness Centre offer?+

TTWC offers individual psychotherapy, a monthly Creative Wellness Drop-In for ages 8 and up, and customized Organizational Wellness Sessions for workplaces, residences, nonprofits and community programs. Each service has its own booking or enquiry process.

Who is individual psychotherapy for?+

I provide individual psychotherapy for children, teens, youth and adults. Couples and family therapy are not currently offered.

Where are psychotherapy and wellness services offered?+

Individual psychotherapy is offered virtually through a secure platform to eligible clients in Ontario and select other Canadian provinces where legally permitted. Creative Wellness Drop-In locations are shared in each event listing. Organizational Wellness Sessions may be delivered onsite where appropriate, with virtual options discussed based on the activity and group.

Are Creative Wellness Drop-In and Organizational Wellness Sessions psychotherapy?+

No. These are recreational and wellness-focused services. They are not individual psychotherapy, medical care or mental-health treatment unless a separate clinical psychotherapy service has specifically been arranged.

Who can attend Creative Wellness Drop-In?+

Creative Wellness Drop-In welcomes participants ages 8 and up who are interested in creativity, relaxation, connection and intentional personal time. Activities are beginner-friendly and no previous art or craft experience is required. Children and teens must be registered by a parent or guardian, and supervision requirements will be shown in each event listing. Advance registration is recommended because spaces and materials are limited.

How do organizations request a wellness session?+

Use the Organizational Wellness Sessions enquiry form to tell us about your organization, participants and preferred programming. We will review the request and provide recommended options and a customized quote. Permanent prices are not posted because activities, materials, group size, duration and location vary.

Do I need a client portal account for every service?+

A secure client portal account is required for psychotherapy booking and clinical forms. Creative Wellness Drop-In uses the registration link shown on each event listing. Organizations use the Organizational Wellness Sessions enquiry form.

Do I need to tell my whole story during the psychotherapy consultation?+

No. The free consultation is a brief opportunity to discuss what you are looking for, ask questions and determine whether the service may be a suitable fit. More detailed information can be discussed during your first intake session.

Can I use insurance?+

A receipt is provided after each paid psychotherapy session for you to submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Coverage depends on your plan. Recreational Creative Wellness Drop-In and non-psychotherapy Organizational Wellness Sessions should not be assumed to qualify for psychotherapy insurance reimbursement.

What is the psychotherapy cancellation policy?+

Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellation: $40. Missed appointment: $50. These fees are generally not covered by insurance. Event-specific cancellation terms will appear with the relevant wellness registration details.

Is psychotherapy confidential?+

Your privacy is taken seriously. Information shared during psychotherapy is kept confidential except when disclosure is required or permitted by law. The limits of confidentiality will be explained before therapy begins.

Is this an emergency service?+

If you are in Canada and are in immediate danger or need urgent medical support, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department. If you or someone you know is thinking about suicide, call or text 988. If you are outside Canada, contact the emergency or crisis service in your location.
